Here you will find information about upcoming fundraising events at Christie as the information becomes available. Questions? Contact fundraising@christie-pta.org.

 

  • Christie Family Restaurant Nights - about once per month, Christie will hold family nights at local area restaurants who provide a percentage of sales back to our school. Simply tell the restaurant you are there supporting Christie.

    Currently on the schedule:
    • On the Boarder - Tuesday, September 22, 2009 - 5:00-7:00pm
      On 15th Street, just west of US 75
    • Other restaurants will be added throughout the school year. Watch the calendar and newsletter for more information.

    • Chili's - Tuesday, September 1 from 5:00pm-7:00pm
      On US 75, between Parker and Spring Creek

  • EPI Catalog Fundraiser - Fundraising catalogs will go home with students on Monday, September 21, 2009. Order forms and complete payment is due on Friday, October 2, 2009.

  • Furtal - Online shopping that earns money for Christie. Online retails such as Target, Office Depot, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, GAP, Kohl's, Fandango, Bass Pro Shops, WalMart, ITunes, TigerDirect, PetSmart, Macy's and many more!



  • Campbell's Labels and Box Tops for Education - Watch the YO packet and newsletter for information about collecting these labels to help our school.

Simply collect the box tops from your General Mills products and place them in a plastic bag along with your name and teacher's name.  There will be boxes placed in the grade level pods.  Just drop your bag in and the contest is underway.

  • Kroger's E-Labels Program - Please join us by signing up to be apart of Kroger's Labels for Education program. 
    • It's quite simple, just visit http://www.elabelsforeducation.com/Sites/Campbells_eLabels/Page/HomePage/
    • Then select Click to Sign Up. 
    • For the last question, (How did you find out about e-Labels for Education) please select the option "Your school or Labels for Education Coordinator". 
    • Once your account is setup, please input our zip code, 75023 and select search schools.  You will be able to select CHRISTIE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. 
    • That's it.  Now, Christie will get points for each Campbell's product you buy - no labels needed.

  • Kroger Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program - Kroger Grocery Store will donate back to Christie in recognition for loyal shoppers. Print THIS FORM and take it with you the next time you shop at Kroger and present it to the cashier at checkout along with your KrogerPlus card. You only have to do this once per year and no special enrollment is required. The current enrollment period runs from May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2009.

  • Build the Village - FREE money for Christie! CLICK HERE to go to Build the Village website where all online purchases through this website will result in a percentage going back to Christie at no cost to you. Over 380 online merchants to choose from.

  • Christie Yearbook - while the yearbook is not intended to raise money for our school, it doesn't get listed as a fundraiser. Yearbooks are on sale now and are $25. We are also offering options to add one or two lines of text on the front of the book and icons as well (see order form for details). Order forms went home in the beginning of the school year packet. The price is subject to increase after October 30, 2009. Yearbooks will be delivered to students at the end of the school year (a date will be announced in May 2010). Extra yearbooks will be sold on a first come, first served basis. We do not order many extras since we are required to pre-pay for what we order. Contact yearbook@christie-pta.org to send photos for the yearbook or with questions.

  • Write a Check Campaign - This is an ongoing fundraiser. While we appreciate your continued support with other fundraisers, we also provide you with a way to support the PTA without purchasing products. Please feel free to donate to the Christie PTA anytime of the year. Many companies offer matching contributions for charitable organizations, so please ask your employer if they have a gift matching program. Christie PTA is a 501 (c) (3) tax-deductible organization.

 

Some of the help we ask for has nothing to do with raising money directly for Christie, but we ask for help in things that can help the community around us. Please consider the below when "spring cleaning" or any other time of the year.

  • Shoe Bank - A collection box for gently used shoes is located inside the front doors of the school. Sometimes shoes can be out-grown before they are out-worn.
  • Printer Cartridges and Old Cell Phones - there is a collection box just inside the main door of the school. Please drop off your used printer cartridges and old cell phones to help Christie.

  • Canned Food Drive - about twice a year Christie holds a canned food drive to benefit our local community. We ask for non-perishable food items, such as canned and boxed foods. Notices will go home in the YO packet when we are accepting donations.

  • Nurse's Closet - Accidents happen. Milk gets spilled and spaghetti gets dropped. Our school nurse keeps changes of clothes in all sizes in the clinic for just such occasions. But, it also needs to be replenished. Please consider donating new or gently worn clothing items to the nurse when your child outgrows them. Most needed are shorts, pants, socks, and underwear for both boys and girls.
